For the two-story, 149,000 square foot steel-framed building, Design-Build services were performed by Eurocon Construction International. The Placer County Health & Human Services Center is a shining example of creativity, sustainability, and involvement with the local community. The 142,000 square foot complex is pleased to be the first Zero-Net-Energy building in the County. It is built to produce as much electricity as it uses each year. The facility has training rooms, kid-specific play areas, and a conference center with roomy meeting spaces—all of which were designed with adaptability and functionality in mind. The building also has computer access facilities, open office spaces, break rooms and indoor and outdoor patios, career centers, and a two-story open area known as “Collaboration Street.” This distinctive design element promotes program teams’ integration and cooperation, increasing the overall efficacy.
